
The pilot action conducted in collaboration with Resch&Frisch as part of the CEFoodCycle project (BreadCycle) has been successfully finalized. The initiative explored circular economy solutions in the food sector, focusing on surplus management and revalorization of production rejects.
Over the course of the pilot, more than 800 kg of surplus baked goods were analyzed and redistributed to social institutions, strengthening community ties and reducing food waste. The project also investigated innovative revalorization strategies for edible but unsellable goods, including insect farming and fungi cultivation.
The pilot delivered both quantitative results and qualitative impacts, including increased employee awareness and strategic learning around logistics and stakeholder coordination. To learn more about the outcomes and insights from the pilot, the official flyer is now available for download:
